To zoom in on the wide range of application possibilities, it’s good to mention the typical characteristics and qualities of Nitrile. This compound is one of the first synthetic rubber grades to be used more and more as a sealing material since 1945. It is a fully vulcanized end product that we develop into the desired seal(s) based on construction drawings and a set of requirements from our clients. In addition to dimensions, this mainly concerns system pressure, system temperature and the medium against which the seals manufactured by us must be able to withstand. Peak pressures and significant temperature differences must be taken into account. It is also possible that the application needs to be suitable for several media. This is particularly the case with industrial seals in the machine- & equipment construction where the application and thus the usability is very diverse. Think of fossil fuels, sweeteners, mineral – or synthetic oils/greases, foodstuff etc. Nitrile offers us the opportunity to make the most suitable and durable seals for all these applications.
Not only for shock absorbers
The know-how that NDS-Seals has within the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) market, we will continue to expand in the coming years. Just as Nitrile enables us to make any desired seal for shock absorber manufacturers, we want to use our expertise to further develop other markets with the qualities and services of NDS-Seals. Think, for example, of machine and equipment construction and the oil and gas industry. Once we know exactly what a particular seal has to meet, we start working on the design and once the design has been approved by the customer, we take the seal into production. A good design from NDS-Seals proves itself on the basis of test results when applied in practice because the Nitrile seal complies in all respects. We continuously pay a lot of attention to research, innovation and the further optimization of our sealing products.
