REALIZATION PROCESS

When manufacturing new products, we go through a structured realization process.

The realization process starts with the production plan and consists off the following phases:

• SAMPLE PRODUCTION
  Of the final design a sample is manufactured. Depending on the results and evaluation new samples are manufactured or the design is released for production..

• INITIAL SERIES PRODUCTION
  The “Pilot run” of the production tool will be evaluated and tested again. After approval the next step can be made.

• SERIES PRODUCTION

• STOCK – PROGRAM DELIVERY
  
  

Sample production

When the First product design has completed and the drawing has been made a sample will be manufactured. For rubber parts it is necessary to manufacture a pilot tool. Modification options are limited so it may be necessary to manufacture several pilot tools. However it is possible to manufacture in one tool different materials and/or hardness’s.

Initial series production

As soon as the samples have been approved, the manufacturing of the production tool will be started. This tool will be designed for only one type of material and hardness. A maximum accuracy for the tolerances is thus achieved. This means that for other materials a new tool is required to keep the same accuracy. In deliberation with our technical department, the possibility of producing two different materials in the same tool can be investigated. When the production tool has been completed, a pilot run is made to enable the control of each cavity in the tool. Again these samples can be tested and evaluated. After approval of these samples the tool is released for production.

Series production

The production is scheduled according the requirements of the end-user and batch size is determined for optimum cost control.

Stock / Program delivery

One of the services NDS-Seals is offering is to keep stock and provide a program delivery. Many of our customers do not want to keep stock themselves and require a just-in-time delivery. We take over these activities and fulfil the requirements to deliver to right product at the right time.
