LTE produces rubber compounds. The characteristics of a rubber product are mainly determined by the material it is made of. To control the characteristics different ingredients are mixed through the material to achieve the required properties. The factory has the following machinery:

• 1 Banbury mixer

• 3 open mixers

• 2 closed mixers

• 1 screw extruder

• 1 lab mixer

• 1 mir machine

LTE has it’s own laboratory where research & development is carried out for new compounds. Also various tests can be performed in house.

The lab instruments:

• 2 Reometers

• 1 mooney visscosity meter

• 2 durometers

• 1 Tensiometer

• 5 ovens

• 2 constant temperature baths
